MAINE AUDUBON
The State of Maine's Loons

DECEMBER 8TH, 2022
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM

The Common Loon is one of Maine's most iconic species for good reason. An inhabitant of clear, remote, northern lakes, this species is found in more lakes in Maine than in any other New England state. For the last 35 years, Maine Audubon has coordinated an annual loon count utilizing the skills of more than 1000 volunteers. Learn more from Maine Audubon's Nick Lund about loons in Maine and our efforts to protect them.

FREE to attend for all ages and abilities!

SPARKS' ARK

FEBRUARY 16TH 2023
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Josh, from Sparks' Ark, is a licensed animal damage control agent which allows him to address human wildlife conflicts through education as well as removal/relocation of problem wildlife when necessary. Josh also takes unwanted and abandoned exotics and gives them a home so they are not released or euthanized. In return, he travels the state with some of the rescues educating people on their care and sharing his animal encounter stories. This session with Sparks' Ark will be exactly that, Josh bringing his animal rescues to the AOEC Brunswick and sharing his stories.

Open to all ages and abilities. $5 to attend.
